Profile

Nick L. Nielson was born in Idaho Falls and raised in the small town of Ririe Idaho. Mr. Nielson began his educational career in 1976 at Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho. After serving a 2 year mission to the country of Thailand for the Church if Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints he returned to his studies and received his Associates Degree in 1981. Moving to Provo Utah he began his Bachelors Degree at Brigham Young University in 1981, graduating in 1983. Accepted to the J. Reuben Clark Law School at the Brigham Young University Campus, Nick received his combined Masters of Public Administration and Jurist Doctorate Degrees in 1987. After serving as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Hart in Rupert Idaho, Nick relocated to Pocatello in 1988 where he has since been actively serving the community as an Attorney.

Nick Nielson is currently married to Linda Nielson, with whom he has five children. He and his wife are currently Alumni Ambassadors for BYU-Idaho in the Pocatello area and have also been actively involved in the Friends of Scouting fundraising drive for many years. In his spare time Nick enjoys woodworking, creating sculptures with gourds, gardening, genealogy, and the great outdoors.
